The French Cheese Board is a studio devoted to all things French Cheese. Conceived as an idea lab, it is a space for consumers and trade members to discover the diversity and richness that France has to offer through a series of interactive showings and events. The new home to French Cheese in New York, we blend the culinary arts with contemporary art installations, meshing lifestyle, art, cheese and more. We put art and design at the forefront of modernity, development, and innovation.
We invite artists, designers, chefs, and researchers to work together on projects related to French cheese and the nutrition of today and tomorrow. The French Cheese Board provides a platform for the exchanging of ideas, for education, and for the celebration of French cheese.
It was informative and we tasted delicious cheese, but there wasn’t very much information on pairings and building your own cheese board- it felt like information you could google. Then the last few minutes felt super rushed, with ten minutes left we were told the shop was closing and we needed to finish our cheese, drinks, and make our purchases. I was still eating cheese from my plate when someone from the staff cleared it.
Incredible cheese class, so much cheese and cider for $40. An amazing deal, I will 100% be going back. The entire staff were so knowledgeable and friendly. We learned so much about cheese, cider, and the pairings were terrific.
The cheese tastings were inspired and delicious. Each cheese was paired with a hard cider and was used in a preparation made by an accomplished chef. The cider maker, cheese expert and staff of the French Cheese Board were extremely knowledgeable and had a great rapport with each other and the classmates. There was also a tray of charcuterie and other complements to the cheese. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening!

We really enjoyed the class and tasting, particularly the pairing of beer with Normandy cheeses. We really appreciated the gift bag including the French butter.
Was very well presented - educational and interesting. Cheese were wonderful but it would have been nice to have more than one glass of wine even if we were charged extra for an additional glass -

Great class! You really get 'a bang for your buck' for this as I have paid much more in the past for similar classes. Very knowledgeable experts and cute shop with nice goodies involved!
I wish I had taken this class earlier - I would have given gift certificates for it as holiday presents! What a great way to spend an evening; a delightful cheese expert sharing personal stories about Normandy culture, mixed in with the history and present day manufacturing techniques. Oh, did I mention the cheese and wine tasting? Lots of cheese, lots of wines, plenty of butter - all from Normandy. And fruit, a dip...mmmm. First a tasting, then we just dug in. We even got a lovely surprise gift to carry home. I’ve told out-of-town friends that when they come I’ll take this class again with them; it’s that much fun (and that delicious!). Highly recommended!
