  I feel very fortunate to have stumbled onto the Art of Intuitive Photography workshops. On a whim I signed up for the Mastering Manual Mode At Night workshop and—wow—it was a win for me. For two hours Ocie guided my learning with thoughtful insights, suggestions for technical improvement, honest critique, and humor as I learned various techniques and strategies to take advantage of nighttime lighting, shadows, reflections, and so on. The two hours seemed to wiz by in a few minutes in the immersive but safe space Ocie created for my learning experience. I am looking forward to exploring other learning opportunities with Art of Intuitive Photography. Check them out if you’re looking to up your photography game.

  Mindy was excellent, she explained everything in detail and allowed us to practice our new skill. But communication from Coursehorse about the exact location of the course was very sketchy. I almost was walking away, thinking that 20 Lincoln Center was the address, but the actual class was outdoors, near the fountain in front of Lincoln Center and the folks at the gate, correctly, had to clue about any photography class. Just before walking away, Mindy sent me a text message and that's how I connected to her. There were no explanations about how the class would be organised, what equipment to bring. Very disorganised.

  My lesson was an amazing experience, all thanks to the awesome photography instructor I had the great pleasure of meeting, Zim! It was a stroke of luck that I was the only student this particular day and ended up (not intentionally) having a private lesson with an incredibly knowledgeable photography teacher. Zim immediately assessed my beginner needs and proceeded to instruct me on the basics of my camera and beginning photographic skills and techniques which is precisely the information I needed. I cannot say enough how fantastic an experience this was for me, A private lesson for 2 hours from a knowledgeable instructor- I learned so much and was so extremely appreciative of this time spent. I hope to become a better photographer as a result of Zim's excellent teaching, advice and recommendations !

Ocie patiently explained the fundamental concepts of photography, showed me how to use the menus and buttons on my new camera, and offered helpful critiques and exposure tips for the photos I took during the class. After just a few hours, I knew way more than when I started and felt confident to start taking pictures of the world around me.

  The exposure triangle was explained by Ocie in an easy to understand manner, which enabled me to begin to understand it. It finally clicked because I overthought my approach to photography and needed to recognize that there is no formula to photography; however, capturing a particular moment and adjusting the settings in your camera to match what you see is very useful. Make adjustments to the settings based on your own perception of how bright or dark it appears. The concept was simple, but it changed the way I approached my photography skills significantly.

  I enjoyed the class. There were only three of us which was nice as it was almost like having a private instructor. The instructor was knowledgeable and presented information well. I got what I was hoping for out of the class. Only down side was the class had to be rescheduled several times, I believe because people cancelled.

  After wasting time watching explanation videos online, I decided it was time to take an in-person photography lesson. Best decision ever to sign up and attend this class. Mindy is the best! Within 3 hours, we’d covered the basics and got to test what we’d learned. For anyone on the fence about whether this class is worth, it most certainly is. Felt so much more confident shooting in manual mode after this lesson. Looking forward to taking more lessons with them.

  This photographic walk with David Brommer , photographer himself was a highlight for me. At once, I have been feeling at ease with David. He gave me good photographic tips and he was able to advance the situation of a good picture to get. David, also explained me well a small part of the Hasidic Jewish culture a tourist like me wants to know. In my country, I rarely see Hasidic Jews with their traditional clothes …, so I was feeling like in another world. For Italian costumers, David speaks some Italian if you are not too much at ease with the English language. I will be attending another workshop about street photography with David, being such happy with this one. Thanks again to David Brommer from Sylvie

  Alina was thorough in her preparation and the materials that she provided to teach me how to use my Nikon D3300. She was patient and clear in her explanations, and always encouraging as we experimented with different techniques. And she pointed out composition issues with my photos that I didn't notice, raising my awareness of ways to isolate the subject and take better-looking pictures. I'm a beginner in digital photography, and feel much more comfortable talking about and taking photos after my session with Alina.

  A really relaxed class with like minded people . The photographer was professional and excellent at sharing key technical points. Got lots of tips to photography high buildings such as using glass as an imagary. At the end of the 3 hour class we were all asked to reflect on our learning. I would recommend this class.
