I've been a Product Designer for 5 years, but I've never deep-dived technically into Figma. This class was amazing for me to remember the basics. It's super recommended for beginners and UX designers who feel the need to enhance their Figma abilities.
-
Thanks for the session!
-
I highly recommend this class for any one you wants to jump right in and get a better understanding of how the entire program works.
-
100% would recommend.
-
If you're looking to get a deep dive into Figma, this is the place to learn it from. Engaging instructor with beautiful contents to follow along with (and keep after class).
-
My instructor Eugenio was very approachable in answering any questions I had on the material, workbook exercises, or industry changes. I currently work in healthcare with patients and do not have any design experience, so I appreciate Noble Desktop allows us to take courses in person, access recordings for practice/review, and retake the class! Thank you!

You know at the end of Ratatouille where Anton Ego takes one bite of Ratatouille and in that moment, every single thing he'd experienced in life was inside of the one bite? That's how I felt ending this course. I feel like I've been using Sketch, InVision, and Abstract for soooooo long, and using Figma was a little bite of ratatouille that reminded me how design software can & should be just as user-friendly as the designs that we're creating for clients.

Very comprehensive. Instructor was patient with those new to the subject matter. Very understanding and thorough.

This was a wonderful course. Laura did a wonderful job of simplifying web design, a field full of its own specialized terms. She was open to every question I asked, knowing that the most important thing in the end was that we were on the same page. She maintained a professional attitude, clear teaching methods, and a caring side befitting of a private lesson. I recommend this course to anyone with even the slightest interest in web design.

Lynette has the ability to take complicated material and present it in small sizable chunks which make it easy to understand and apply. She also cares about you and your business and goes beyond the scope of the class to make sure you are taken care of. She is always open for questions and has great suggestions. She is a true expert in her field.

Working with LYW Designs was a great experience. She was thorough and communicative throughout the process. One thing I really appreciated, which I think is a rare quality, is that she took the time to really understand where I was coming from and figured out how to create my vision. When you’re not super tech savvy or good at articulating your artistic vision for a project, it is a complete game changer to work with someone who can piece everything together for you and create something that really represents what you have in your head. She’s punctual, up front, honest, great at executing and teaching. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I learned during the entire process. I highly recommend working with her for any type of web design project you have in mind.

When my company decided to take on a complete rebranding and website - it was daunting. I didn't have the time or expertise to make it a priority, but for years, I knew it had to be done. When I found LYW Designs, it felt like a burden had been lifted off my shoulders. Lynette walked me through every step of the way, and really took the time to understand my brand and clients. Now I have a fresh new look, a consistent brand across all digital media platforms, and a website that shows the quality of work my company provides. Thank you Lynette and LYW Designs for making my website dreams come true! I can't believe I waited so long to make this happen! Cheers!

LYW Designs has been absolutely great to work with. Lynette is a consummate professional who helped me find elegant solutions to complex problems on my website. Her expertise allowed me to drastically upgrade my presence online, and double my unique monthly visitors. Her patience and attention to detail made the process of redesigning my site not only painless, but something I looked forward to digging into. Her fees are reasonable and the quality is first rate. I highly recommend.

Amazing class and I appreciate the handout! Thank you for taking time to teach us a few things on SquareSpace in a welcoming environment and organized manner. I walked away with some key tips that'll give my sites a boost!
-
Lynette, You are an incredible instructor and teacher. You are patient and you are knowledgeable. You made the learning fun and you exceeded my expectations in all of the information that you shared with me. Thank you for everything. I am so excited to see the final results!!
-
Out standing and creative Web page designer. Highly recommend.
-
We found Lynette when we were stuck with our squarespace-site. We knew what we wanted and had a rough design down, but being total newbies in the blogazine/coding-world, we could not figure out all the little devils in the detail. Lynette knew right away what our site was missing and came up with some simple solutions for the complicated questions we had. She was great to work with, in person and online. When our wishes exceeded our budget, she was willing to negotiate. We would highly recommend her guidance!
-
Lynette is great at what she do! She’s very passionate about her work. She’s creative and comes up with great ideas and she really helps bring your vision to life. She’s very professional, knowledgable, patient, and an overall great person. I would highly recommend Lynette to anyone.
-
Lynette is an excellent instructor. She promptly emailed me after signing up to ask what I needed to learn during the class. She then catered the entire class to meet my specific needs. And with patience, ease, and thorough guidance, she taught me how to create a squarespace website. I left with my first draft completed and a lot of helpful notes to guide me along the way. I recommend her class, "Build and Maintain Your Own SquareSpace Site 103". I got so much more than what I expected.
-
This was a great course! Thank you Laura for being such a wonderful instructor!
-
Fantastic experience, as usual! Thank you so much for the personalized, informative workshop.
-
Great class!! Felt like I learned a lot and left it with some practical skills.
-
This was such an amazing class. Lynette was a thoughtful teacher. She took time to learn how I like to learn and give me opportunities to watch her work as well as work myself. She was incredibly knowledgeable and generous. I will for sure use her again if I need more help with my work. I left feeling excited to finish my project and like I could reach out to her if I need to.

Angela Wyman is a wonderful professor! I learned so much in only 13 weeks..about how to make a website beautiful and functional.
We learned more about html, css, a bit of javascript and jquery. The assignments were fun, interactive and interesting. I highly
recommend anyone with a design background who has taking coding 1 to take this class. Although it takes awhile to become a great front end web developer and lots of practice this is a great way to continue learning what you were taught in coding 1 from an design perspective. The class is geared towards design with people who have a backgroundin graphics with an interest in learning more about coding a great looking website. We learned about gradients, how to make a unique cursor, how to make a website move when clicked on and how to integrate animation into a website to name a few things. If there were a coding 3 class with more in depth lectures about javascript and jquery I would definitely take it!
-
I had a great experience with Laura. I went to my session with a very specific agenda and accomplished everything. Highly recommend!
-
Patient and knowledgeable teacher ... Lynette made very helpful suggestions which substantially improved my Squarespace website.

I had a great session. The instructior was fabulous. I learnt alot but more importantly I enjoyed the experience. It was a very positive class and we left the door open for more classes and advancement.
I would highly recommend this course it successfully delivered on its description and more to boot.

It was very informative, great for absolute beginners!

This was such a cool class! I feel like now I can actually build a web page with a bit more research on my end. Learned a lot in a few hours
-
The professor/ instructor was everything! She strengthened my understanding of css and made me aware of tools and free online resources to use when coding!
-
The teacher was super knowledgeable and the structure of doing-it-yourself was executed really well. I definitely gained valuable experience!
-
My instructor is very patient and professional. She addressed concerns I had and helped me to gain confidence at understanding and using the knowledge she shared. I highly recommend her.
-
Great class. Too bad the school is closing.

This course is great for anyone who knows little to nothing about HTML & CSS. This is second time I've taken a class at Noble Desktop and I intend to book another course with them. They're great! Instructions are easy to follow and I always leave feeling like I've learned more than I expected.

Angela Wyman,
Was a wonderful professor for coding 1 Intro to web development. I highly recommend any graphic designers, designers, anyone who comes from a design background or who is just interested in learning about front end web development to take her class in the fall of 2018 on Monday from 12-3 pm. She has been teaching it for the past 5 years at Pratt continuing ed and put together the curriculum for coding 1 and coding 2. She is super knowledgeable, personable and has 15+ years as a front end web developer and graphic designer working in the industry and over 8+ years working as a professor and teaching it to people who are interested in learning how to put together a beautiful well designed website. You will be so happy with what you have learned after taking the class!
Just take the class with her on Mondays from 12-3. Unfortunately, she is not teaching coding 2 this year and coding 1 on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. I personally cannot recommend that anyone take those classes unless they find out what the level of work experience or level of expertise the new teacher will have and anyone taking those classes should definitely get confirmation from the director of continuing ed, Chris Ferrar, before taking those classes that the new lecturer has at least 10 years of working as a front end web developer in the industry and at least 5 years of teaching before signing up to take them from the new instructor. It is a very difficult topic and I only recommend anyone learning front end web development coding 1 or 2 from an experienced professional otherwise it will be a waste of time and money for you. Happy coding!

The instructer was extremely knowledgeable

This class was highly informative and the teacher was wonderful!

I am a book publisher and was very happy with the Certificate in Web Design at Noble Desktop. Web Development 1 and 2 helped me manage my website. Photoshop for Web & UI expanded my capabilities. I not only understood the files coming in but could work on the files too, if needed. This gave me greater control of our projects. Mobile & responsive design emphasized mobile first. As a result, I held off redoing our main site while I thought through how to apply everything I learned. I would highly recommend Noble Desktop. Great school!!

I enrolled in the Web Design certificate program after following the free lectures and demos for a while. The information is demoed and follows an exercise that is in a workbook that they have created. After the demo, students then do the same exercise using files made specifically for that class. Because I live a distance away, the remote option fit for me. They offer many times for the same class which can accommodate a variety of schedules. The workbooks are invaluable, easy to follow and understand, and you can download a new version if one becomes available. The exercise files made it easy to get up and running, rather than spend all your time typing to get to the meat of the task. The remote class is delivered via Go to Meeting, and the ability to take screen shots of what you see is a good option. You see the instructors screen - what is projected live in the onsite classroom. You can retake classes within a 6 month period. You can also just buy a workbook for whatever class they offer, which comes with downloadable exercise files that are used in the book. Their instructors are knowledgeable professionals working in the industry. All in all I have enjoyed the process, and would recommend it to anyone looking to add to their skills.

I was in magazine design and production, but once the industry started contracting, I knew I needed to learn new skills, including web design and web development. I gave myself a project to design and develop a full-blown website, with tons of functionality and animation. The site was BOAST: Best of Astoria (boast.nyc). I started taking Noble Desktop's web design and web development classes every time I ran into an issue I could not figure out myself. Not only did I get the issue solved with help from the instructors, but I learned new things in the classes as well. I also found that the way the courses were taught, with the instructor giving the demo, and then the students doing the same thing, really helped me learn the material. By the time the website was getting close to complete, I had taken almost all of the web design and web development classes, so I figured I would complete the certificate programs and learn some new skills and programs. Also, by signing up for the web design or web development certificate programs, I was able to go to the meetup, where an instructor would give suggestions and troubleshoot any issues we might be having we our projects. This was incredibly helpful as well. I still go back to take other classes and go to seminars at Noble Desktop.

Noble lets you learn to code in a hands-on, practical way. The goal is for you to actually learn how to build websites and doesn't assume you have a team of people to do things for you. The content is extremely practical; it's not a test to screen out who should be admitted to MIT or not. They've spent over 20 years perfecting the course materials, and it shows. The materials become your reference manual that you can refer to as you implement upgrades to your own website. Don't waste your money elsewhere, this is the place to go. The owner and teachers are fully committed to your success. They allow repeats and host a Meetup for those in the program to get help and exchange ideas. Noble has your back, while other programs thank you for your money and forget you after their profits clear. Also, you can take the classes that you want to without being forced to take an entire bootcamp.
-
Noble Desktop is so worth the time and money spent on the class. If you really want to learn what it takes and how to create a website-- Noble Desktop is the place to go!!
-
The Web Design Certificate program was a great experience. I did not know all that much about web design before attending, but I feel that I gained a great deal of knowledge here, and I am excited to build upon my skills now!
-
Reading all the positive testimonials you think to yourself, "No class or instructor can be THAT good, right?" Wrong. The instructors at Noble are the most knowledgeable, experienced, patient and skilled teachers you will find anywhere and the learning methods and training materials they employ will have you designing, coding and creating in no time.
-
I spent a lot of time researching different schools and couldn't be more happy that I went to Noble Desktop for the Web Design Certificate. The instructors are great, you cover a lot of material and best of all - you get to keep the workbook so you can repeat exercises on your own!
-
Attending the 'Responsive Web Design' course really provided me comprehensive information on how a 'Responsive' site can be designed and what are challenges and how the challenges can be met.
-
Invest in yourself and take the Mobile & Responsive Web Design class. It's a great and invaluable experience that will keep you current with web trends. The added bonus; instructors at Noble Desktop are always top notch!
