In this hands-on experience, join Chef/Owner of Pomp & Circumstance, James Ahearn, as we delve into the art of pita making. Move over store-bought pita, because it’s about to get real!
Chef will begin by showcasing and teaching us about the starter and poolish (a pre-ferment commonly used in French baking) that all of his breads begin with, followed by a demo of forming the dough and making the pita.
Each guest will receive a hands on tutorial on creating bread from a starter. Techniques on forming and resting dough will also be covered as we observe the pita baking process first-hand.
Each guest will receive pita recipes, along with your very own take-home starter.
