  Raphael is an excellent instructor. His style of teaching touches beyond the technical aspects of painting and drawing. He covers the history, the linguistic parallels, and the philosophy behind painting. Being a part of his class feels like I'm in a bygone era, where persistence toward singular aesthetic creations is celebrated, and the wisdom of the artists/philosophers the past are distilled in the proverbs that Raphael recites throughout the classes. Through Raphael's skillful instructions and his own reverence for art creation, I can fully appreciate the arts as a defining pillar of being human. I truly love spending time in his studio and look forward to learning more of what I can do through the skills gained.

  This course covered a great strategy for starting drawing. Over the three sessions I learned a technique called "mark mapping" which helps to build the scaffolding of drawing in a way that's really intuitive. The instructor then walks through how to fill in the shading "values" of the drawing and finally how to add details to the drawing. The drawings are usually of abstract shapes - mine was hardware. My sessions were all charcoal based but I was able to transfer the skills to pencil outside of the class relatively easily. It helped me get started with building a practice out of drawing.

  It was an amazing class. Chef Dan was patient and informative. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone who would like to know how to prepare Sushi well in the home environment.   I got a lot out of this class. I've been to drawing classes where we're just told to draw without much guidance or instruction. Lucas gave us a framework and approach that was really helpful. We had a lot of time to draw. The class was maybe a dozen people so we got plenty of individual attention. The only suggestion I would make would be to give the students a chance to introduce themselves to one another. It would be nice to have a little bit more of a community. I'll definitely be back next week.

  Baking a croissant can be very intimidating, especially for someone who is a novice in the kitchen. But this class walks you through the process. You work in teams with pre-measured and sorted ingredients, and in the end, you have some baked goods to take home!

  Really enjoyed this class. Chef Jen was great and made the recipes easy to follow. I appreciated the baking tips I could bring back to my own kitchen. I think doing both recipes was fine in the time we were given. Eating the treats was the best!

  Such an excellent way to be introduced to wheel throwing! Our instructor Siri was excellent— she explained the process well, and was very helpful as we encountered new questions and created new problems. We made multiple pieces each, and while only one firing is included in the class fee, the firing fee for additional pieces is so inexpensive that we ended up deciding to keep everything we made. We may be back to take more classes and learn more advanced skills :D

  Loved this course so much I'm already trying to figure out a next level of it! Even as someone who already does cook at home, especially within my culture's cuisine I learned so much in this class. In particular strong foundational things that ground you in how to think about food and cooking so that we can continue exploring ingredients and flavors beyond what we do in class. Very highly recommend!

  This was so fun! I brought my friend and we love to do arts projects. We brought our own beer and had a great time. There was not a lot of time to sip our beer during the class but that’s because we were very focused on the artwork. If you are a little unfamiliar with painting I would say the pace of the instruction may be a little fast. But I am already excited to come back.

  I really enjoyed this class! It's super approachable even if you have very little prior experience but appeals to all levels of artists. The class itself felt very intimate and casual, everyone is very friendly and judgement-free. I found learning the fundamentals extremely valuable, teaching concepts like mark mapping and value in a way where anyone is able to improve iteratively. Raphael, the teacher, makes drawing feel more like a step-by-step science rather than magically producing something impressive, which makes it a lot less daunting. I was impressed at how far I had come even in just a few classes, being able to produce a highly detailed piece that I could proudly show off to friends and family. I never thought I could see such a dramatic improvement in such a short time. Highly recommend to anyone who has an interest in art but doesn't know where to start or how to improve.

  This was an eye-opening experience. James, the instructor, is an incredible teacher with a breadth of artistic knowledge. He legitimately understands art and is a very effective teacher. You'll take classes in a real studio, a no-nonsense, all-business creating environment, not a YouTube influencer's manicured stage. I left the session motivated to continue my art pursuit and purchased more supplies to make it possible. This brief course was an incredible value for the money and I recommend it highly.

  I had THE MOST fun in this class. The instructor was a riot - super high energy, and the bar was actually so nice (the food slaps). The cocktails were delicious, and you get a variety. It's 100% worth the money for this one. Would highly recommend.

  This class was great! A lot of good information up front - the first half of the class is dedicated to the book-knowledge, whereas the second is the more technical knowledge. You get to take the flowers and pot home with you, so it's worth it. The instructor was sooooo cute - she's a riot, and she's super fun to work with. Would highly recommend.

  The class is very well much fun and enjoyable. The instructor was very well prepared and he conducted the class with humor and enthusiasm. My partner and I enjoyed kneading the pizza dough and learning the cutting techniques. Finalizing the pizza with sauce and cheese and seeing it come out steaming hot from the oven makes the experience unforgettable.

  This was a great experience! My spouse and I were complete beginners, and had so much fun learning the basics. The class was full but only fits maybe 12 or so people, so it wasn't intimidating and there was always help when we needed it from one of the two instructors. The main instructor seemed to be newer than the other one, not as confident but definitely very skilled. 2 hours was the perfect amount of time! Make sure to ask for extra ideas/tips once you've gotten the basics - the only group instruction was for the basics, but some people seemed to get some very cool extra techniques from the instructors walking around and helping.

  I absolutely loved this class! I’d for years wanted to take a class to help me improve on my sketching and learn some basic techniques. I love to draw, sketch, watercolor and now I feel like I have some real skills to create. Raphael is a superb teacher, very personalized instruction and so talented and lovely.
