Phenomenal class! Junko really was such warm, funny, creative, objective, and caring professor and she has a really great balance of guiding students with her craft, while letting students have creative freedom. She really gets to know the students on a personal level so I really felt welcomed and engaged - even inspired after I left class. I booked this class for an anniversary with my partner and would recommend to anyone who is interested in flower arranging - very informative and fun activity to do with another and the arrangements were so beautiful!

I’ve attended a gazillion classes, and this one was fantastic. Junko is so sweet, and we learned a lot not only about floral design but some Japanese history. The time flew by. I was concerned about getting the arrangement home on the subway, but we take it apart and get a box with a new white low vase and frog to go along with our paper-wrapped foliage. I highly recommend the class.

Junko is a sweetheart and explained the history, making sure I understood everything before she moved on. She was very encouraging (I wasn't feeling all that confident) but I went home feeling like I really knew the basics and want to try it again! I'd definitely encourage people to do this, i brought home a new planter, frog and the arrangement. I loved the class for myself but it would also make a great gift too.
