It’s a big world of whiskies out there. You’re probably familiar with drams from major whisky-producing countries—Scotland, the U.S., Ireland, Canada, and Japan—but you might be surprised to learn that India has award-winning single malts. Or that Austria makes unique whiskies by aging them in Trockenbeerenauslese wine barrels.

As we taste whiskies from some of the most unexpected areas around the globe, we’ll discuss how distillers utilize their particular climates, grains, and traditions to make delicious, world-class drams.

What you can expect:

  • 1 Welcome cocktail
  • 6 Tasting pours of world whiskies from Austria, India, Taiwan, & others
  • Palate-cleansing bread & cheese
  • A 10% discount on all spirits tasted to use in-store after class

What you will learn:

  • Profiles of notable whisky producers from around the world
  • An overview of various distilling practices and methods
  • Regional influences in whisky production

The instructor was extremely personable and knowledge. He taught us different ways to notice our whiskey on her nose and palate. Would recommend for the knowledge and the ability to taste different whiskies you wouldn’t otherwise buy on your own.
