Make a Stained Glass Work of Art (Intro Level)
This was a really fun class! It was a great "quick" course to learn how to make fun stained glass art. Important things I wish I knew prior to the class: - This class allows you to make artwork that is sized 5.5"x8.5" or smaller - The glass artwork/shapes must be a total of 8 pieces or less (this is important due to time restraints) - Don't worry if you didn't create a design, they have lots of templates to choose from I picked a small shaped from the template pile that was roughly 4x5 inches, 8 pieces total. Keep in mind there are a lot of steps involved per glass piece you cut out. Some people in the class made larger pieces using the full 5.5"x8.5" size limit, and they struggled to finish or had to go over the class time. (There are usually classes scheduled back to back, so it's important to finish within the 4 hours) The class works together through each step, so they announce a lot of time-management reminder "we have 15-20 mins before the next step", so that might add to the stress a little if you are running behind (instructors will also help you). It might be beneficial to add to the class bio "8-8:30am choose design, 8:30-9:00 cut out glass design, 9-9:30 sand glass piece, etc". Rather than rushing the students who are not aware there is a strict schedule planned, those who signed up for the class get a rough idea of how timing works and know what to expect. Overall, I had a great learning experienced and walked away with a fun creation! I would definitely re-visit to try another class, as well as strongly recommend the class to friends. Just keep in mind, a smaller design will probably benefit you in this class because you definitely lose track of time when you are looking at options for glass colors and designs. :) -

Make a Barrel to Age Your Own Whiskey and Craft Cocktails
My barrel is water tight and looks great. That is the main thing. Besides this, it was also entertaining. Of less importance to me, but still nice, is the fact that the shop was stylish, clean and organized. This would be a fun thing for a group of friends looking for something different to do. -

We had an amazing experience in the copper lamp making class!! It was a perfect way to celebrate our 7th “copper” anniversary. The wine and pizza were a delicious compliment to the night too. Jacob was super knowledgeable, encouraging and helpful. We loved learning the art of copper soldering and having a full creative freedom for our piece. We are super excited about our art and will definitely be taking another class here. -

Ranger was fantastic! I would take another class with them any day. In between clear instructions and the fire playlist they let us take the lead on the sewing machines and helped us order food from a local spot so we didn't starve. Would definitely recommend this class. -

This class was really awesome! The instructor was very thorough in explaining all the steps to building our lamp. There were plenty of materials and time to plan and work on our masterpiece. It was an opportunity to brainstorm and put our skills to the test but in a fun way. The best part was I got to bond and enjoy pizza and wine with my date! It was a great experience and I highly recommend this class! -

The instructor was very knowledgeable and gave us step by step instructions. She also modeled how to handle the wood pieces and power tools. The space had a very chill and industrial vibe with cool decor. There was music playing and they even provided coffee and water. Plenty of opportunities for photos as well. We had a great time building our little Oak side table. I will be booking more classes going forward and I highly recommend Craftsman for your wood working classes! -

Make a Stained Glass Work of Art (Intro Level)
I had a very negative experience in this class. Perhaps I should have done more research before the class as I had absolutely no idea how complicated the process would be. Also expected much more guidance and explanation. There were too many people in the class and it should have been divided into two classes to give us some more understanding of what kind of designs would be possible in the medium. We could have done one whole class learning how to come up with appropriate designs and how to cut the glass and use the tools instead of trying to complete a finished product in the allotted time. This class did not take into account different learning styles and was too difficult to be considered Stained Glass 101. I ended up so depressed I left halfway through. I’ve taken ceramics classes, a block printing workshop, and learned how to solder, so didn’t expect to have such a frustrating experience with this medium. If this were a true beginners class it should have been much more simplified instead of racing us through each process. Telling us beforehand that our design should be as big as a hand and could have eight pieces was also misleading for absolute novices. We could have been better prepared by being told that the process was more like assembling a jigsaw puzzle. This would have been a more accurate way to prepare us beforehand. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. -

Build a Custom Lamp with Craftsman My hosts were Jacob and Jullian, both were fantastic. I like to give a special thanks to Jullian for all of her additional assistance. She is so very kind and special. I also, got to meet a wonderful young woman named Victoria. Victoria, it was definitely because of you, I came home with a completed project. The vibe in the atmosphere was everything that really promoted such creativity for so many in the room. People projects were amazing. We were shown to cut our own copper piping to create our lamps. This would be a great holiday gift to give to anyone or yourself, perfect for a couple night! I can not wait to enrolled in other workshops they chave to offer.
