Experience the vibrant flavors of North Africa and the Mediterranean with our tantalizing menu bursting with color and taste. From a refreshing watermelon salad to succulent Moroccan chicken, savor every bite of this culinary journey.
Drawing from traditions of North Africa, and the vibrant cuisine of the Mediterranean, this menu bursts with flavor and color.
First, you’ll create a salad with watermelon, cucumber, celery, and radish and a bright apple cider vinaigrette. Alongside this, you’ll prepare a creamy goat cheese spread which will be slathered over toasted crostini. For the main course you will learn how to prepare Moroccan chicken, made with preserved lemons and green olives. To accompany this, you’ll put together a medley of vegetables (knife skills!) poached in a spiced broth, served over couscous. For dessert, a palate-pleasing lemon-cider sorbet.
Classes are not refundable, but you can reschedule if we are notified at least 7 business days prior to the class you have signed up for. If you find you can not make it to a class at the last minute, please consider finding someone to take your place.

Miette means, "little crumb" in French. This name was chosen while giving cooking classes at the restaurant Tartine in the West Village. Since Tartine means "slice of bread" we thought it an appropriate name for the school!

There are 2 entrances located between Umbertos Clam House. One is to the left if facing the restaurant and that is 1 flight up the stairs you will need to press 11 then the green bell key and wait to be buzzed in. The other is to the right of the restaurant that is a black street level elevator and just press the elevator button to gain access and go to the 2nd floor. There is also an intercom system there as well in case the elevator is locked. Closest Train stations are: B,D at Grand Street,N, R, J, Q, 6 at Canal Street. Parking is available on Elizabeth & Mott between Hester and Canal Street.
