Miette means, "little crumb" in French. This name was chosen while giving cooking classes at the restaurant Tartine in the West Village. Since Tartine means "slice of bread" we thought it an appropriate name for the school!

The setting was perfect with a nice open space with plenty of room to spread out at the different stations. It had a warm cozy vibe which was perfect for the prep and a nice sit down meal after we were finished. Chef Paul was very explanatory in how the class would run, taught all of us what was happening even if we weren't working at a particular station, and added tips and tricks that I could take home and apply to many different recipes. I would love to take another class here in the future.

Was fantastic! Learned a lot of great things and was fun and delicious! Would definitely do it again! Paul is a fantastic teacher - has high standards yet makes it fun. Highly recommended.

The class was a lot of fun. I learned a lot as a result of watching Eleni do her magic -- combining the use of various herbs, demonstrating the art of making and handling the dough for sourdough bread and for pittarakia, and making a sourdough starter. Paul and Lisa did an excellent job of hosting the event.

We loved Chef Paul! He taught a lot of industry tips that I’ve never seen on cooking shows or in recipes. Really enjoyed it. The dinin space was beautiful and the food was amazing!

I would recommend this class to anyone. We attended this past week-end as a birthday gift for my sister and had the best time. Th chef is incredible and easy to work with, and his helper was very kind too. The recipes were easy to make and delicious. Highly recommend this to all!

Really fun class, plenty of hands on activity while also learning new demonstrated techniques. And best of all, delicious food and a bottle of wine at the end.

The class was really fun! I am a total beginner, can only do the basics, but Chef Paul made everything look easy and fun, and now I feel like I can actually make gnocchi! I would love to take another class here soon!
