The Chef was wonderful -- informative, organized, knowledgable, calm. He was warm and pleasant. Just before the class was to begin he was notified that the class would go from 11 to 13. He was flexible and did all he could to accommodate the increase in class size causing the ingredients to be in short supply. As for the menu, it was diverse -- I personally did not care for the sauteed greens. The steak was excellent and the instructions were remarkably detailed and educational. The tiramisu was fabulous.

The chef and sois chef were such kind and knowledgeable people. However, not everyone was able to cook everything. You were really assigned only one dish. We were given all the recipes but not able to execute them. I would cut the recipes to provide more teachable moments and gain more experience.
  • The Tuscan Steakhouse

The chef and staff were polite and enthusiastic and the food came out great. It was hard work though.

The class was enjoyable. Eating the prepared food while dining on wine was a plus. However, I felt I walked away with little to no new knowledge of cooking steak. I didn't like how the class was divided in groups and restricted to certain dishes. Furthermore, within groups you had to divide up which dishes you were most interested in. Therefore, a conflict of interest left me with the mundane task of peeling shrimps and preparing bread. I'm very dissatisfied overall as the instructor also didn't take control of the kitchen well or provide strong answers to questions. I would not take another course at ICE after this.
