Discover the historic techniques of stained glass painting in this immersive class at UrbanGlass. Learn about tools, supplies, paint types, and firing temperatures, while exploring both traditional and contemporary painting techniques. Unleash your creativity and create expressive glass paintings to take home.
The goal of the class is to teach the students the fundamentals of stained glass painting. We will cover tools and supplies needed. We will discuss the different types of paint to use their application and kiln firing temperatures. Examples will be shown of historic and contemporary painting techniques and how those techniques can be used for the students' own expressive goals.
What to Expect: This class focuses on the historic techniques of painting on glass traditionally used in stained glass windows. Students will fire several paintings under 10” in any direction, but will not be instructed on assembling work into a stained glass window.
Eligibility: No experience required. Open to ages 14 and up.
Pick-up: You can expect to bring some work to fruition during class that can be taken home at the end of class. If anything is made on the last day of class, students will have to return to UrbanGlass once notified to pick up their work.
This is an in-person class taking place on-site at UrbanGlass. Health and safety guidelines will be emailed to you upon registration.

Enrollment cancellations made outside sixteen (16) days from the first day of class are eligible for a refund less a 5% processing fee. Refunds will not be granted for any cancellations made inside sixteen (16) days from the first day of class, or for withdrawals during class.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
