One Day Mosaics
The teacher was wonderful. Supplies were plentiful. We got a great tour of Urban Glass so I need to decide what to try next. I think everyone was very pleased with their projects. Please note that the projects are 10x10 inches. It was a pleasant surprise that they were larger than a coaster. -

Great introduction to mosaics for first-timers. I suggest coming prepared with an idea of what design you'd like to create, and pack a lunch or snack with you, since it is 6 hours long. You'll also get to learn about UrbanGlass's different areas of work. This class was a rewarding way to spend a Sunday, and I highly recommend it to all! -

Great access to tools and materials in an open space - Urban Glass seems like a very cool place... On the class itself, I would have liked some instructions and Project templates to “take away” - ie, a bit more structure with the process, do’s and dont’s, because who will remember all of the complexity of stained glass object construction with a crash course over 2 days? Also - no info on whether or how to use the studio space where we met for two days after the class... -

This class was way more than we expected, it was very hands on and we learned a lot of basic beginner techniques. The instructors were knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend. -
Wooden Molds in the Hot Shop
An excellent overview of a very specific sub-genre of woodworking. However, I would not recommend it for a general audience as the tools and techniques described are very unusual and the processes difficult to reproduce by the non-expert. For those with a woodturning or glassblowing background it will be fascinating. -

The class was great! I came in having Zero experience and I left with my own panel that I’m super happy with :) you’ll learn everything you need to know to get started with stained glass. I’m looking forward to making more creations in the future now. Totally would recommend. -

This was a great class. You can come in with no knowledge of how to make stained glass and leave with your own panel piece. Since everyone works at their own pace on different projects, there were never too many people standing around waiting for instruction on the next part. If you were waiting, it was up to you to get the instructor's attention and the instruction you received never felt rushed. Speaking of, Laura and Deanne were excellent teachers. I definitely recommend good shoes since you are standing for most of the 14 hours! -
