Cody Robbins

Teaches at New York Code + Design Academy

Cody has worked with Rails since 2006 and has been the CTO of a number of early-stage venture-backed web startups in Tokyo and New York City, where he was responsible for overseeing all engineering and hiring. Before that he founded an agile software engineering and usability consultancy specializing in building web apps in Ruby on Rails for startup clients. He’s a full-stack engineer who’s worked with everything from Ruby and Rails to Javascript and React, Angular, and Node; Objective-C and Swift on iOS and OS X; and C/C++, Java, PHP, Perl, Lisp, and Scheme. He studied computer science and has a graduate degree in linguistics. When he’s not coding he’s surfing.
