Ellen Walterscheid, the CUNY J-School’s original career services director, has written for such publications as The Sciences, AARP The Magazine, and National Geographic World.

THIS IS AN EXCEPTIONALLY WELL-RUN AND INFORMATIVE CLASS. Organizer was Ellen Walterscheid and Professor Fred Kaufman. I can only refer to the course when they teach it but FREELANCING WORKSHOP with them in January 2016 was exceptional. I'm a freelance writer but not a journalist. This class gave me insight into how to pitch stories to editors of print magazines. Trust me, this class is worth every dollar and every minute of your time. Exceeded my expectations.
