Pete Lanctot
Pete Lanctot is a Suzuki certified violin teacher and Music Mind Games certified music theory teacher with 8 years of teaching experience. Pete has taught in a wide array of settings from private lessons, to group instrumental lessons to theory and composition classes.
In the fall of 2013, Pete co-founded Boozeviolin classes with Ginger Dolden at Bantam Studios. In addition to his work as the teacher for the Bantam Studios Suzuki Program, and Boozeviolin and Boozeguitar classes, Pete is on faculty at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music and teaches the Folk Music Band Class at the Brooklyn Waldorf School. In his teaching he is committed to creating an environment of exploration, self learning and fostering success and confidence through mastery of small steps.
Pete maintains an active performance schedule as a musician. As a bandleader and a sideman, Pete has played venues in New York City that include MoMA, the American Folk Art Museum, Littlefield, Joe’s Pub, the Living Room, the Top of the Standard, Barbés, 68 Jay St Bar, and Shangai Mermaid and has worked with artists including The Hot Sardines, Chris Donohue, Steve Count, Adam Brisbin, Bob Parins, and Rana Santacruz.
Adam Brisbin
Upon moving from Texas to New York City in 2012, Brisbin began working with Jolie Holland on her upcoming release, "Wine Dark Sea", out May 20th 2014 on ANTI- Records. Recently he worked with Hal Willner to create the music for Robert Wilson's "The Old Woman". In August 2013 Adam performed at the Museum of Modern Art as part of the summer concert series MoMA Nights. His new band OLD WOMAN features Doug Wieselman (Lou Reed) and Greg Saunier (Deerhoof).
Ginger Dolden
Ginger Dolden is a musician who lives in Brooklyn, New York and is a co-founder of Bantam Studios. Originally a classical musician, Ginger has spent the past few years learning different the traditions of music that come from the Appalachians, Scotland/England, and the southern United States which eventually influenced blues, country and rock music. Known to many as “Sledgehammer Charlie” she tells haunting stories of bygone eras on violin and viola and tenor banjo.By day she works as a marketing director for Roulette – one of New York City’s premiere venues for experimental music and is also known as a multi-faceted artist, musician, teacher creative consultant and art director. She can occasionally be seen working as the road + operations manager for The Hot Sardines
