Mikel Murfi

Teaches at Irish Arts Center

Mikel Murfi is an actor, writer, director based in Ireland. He trained in Ecole Jacques Lecoq, Paris and is a certified teacher of the Lecoq pedagogy. His work with Enda Walsh onThe Walworth Farce, The New Electric Ballroom, Penelope, Misterman and most recently Ballyturk has been a particularly fruitful. The works all been presented by St Ann’s Warehouse, Brooklyn (with the exception of Ballyturkwhich it’s hoped will appear there in Spring 2016). Ballyturk features Murfi, Cillian Murphy and Stephen Rea and is directed by Enda Walsh.
