Mike Ambron

Teaches at One River School

Mike Ambron received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Tyler School of Art 2007, and in 2012 he received his Master of Fine Arts from The Ohio State University. Over the last six years, Mike has enjoyed teaching and catering to the unique challenges and potentials of every individual.

His passion for arts has driven him since his childhood, "I was fortunate to know at a very young age that I was an artist and have never stopped moving in that direction. For me, teaching and art are about expanding one’s views and abilities. There is no greater experience as a teacher than watching someone 'get it', whether learning to control their materials, or learning to see color where one hadn’t known it existed," said Ambron.

The One River School teacher recalls that growing up, he had always bee a curious person. Ambron consistently observed and explored in order to understand. "Art is a practice in which we develop new ways of perceiving and responding to our surroundings," said the artist.
