Teaches at New York Yoga

Mika is a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance, licensed massage therapist in New York State and certified in prenatal for both. By connecting the physical knowledge of the body through massage, and the emotional and spiritual side of the mind through yoga, Mika's classes are a challenging blend of asana, pranayama and meditation techniques that cultivate a mind/body connection and focus on alignment, breathing and core integration. Mika has studied with Lauren Hanna, Johanna Aldrich, Sri Dharma Mittra and many other inspiring teachers along the way. Her own personal style of yoga is influenced by Vinyasa, Jivamukti, Anusara, the philosophies of Yoga and Tibetan Buddhism. On this transformational quest, Mika has learned a great deal about herself and feels blessed to be a continuous student on this journey, while also having the opportunity to spread the knowledge and love of yoga to others. Mika is passionate about the holistic approach to treating physical and emotional ailments and aims to heighten her students and clients' awareness, as well as her own.
