Madeleine Boucher

Madeleine Boucher is a printmaker and multi-media artist working in Brooklyn. She studied printmaking at the Leroy Neiman Center at Columbia University as an undergraduate, and graduated from the University of Chicago with an MA in Chinese Art History in 2013. Her academic work on Buddhist art of the medieval period parallels an exploration of images with sacred resonance in her own artwork: icons from dreams; surrealistic symbols and apparitions; cosmological maps refracted through Google Earth. Her work has been exhibited at the Leroy Neiman Center Gallery at Columbia University and Shoestring Press in Crown Heights. Her artwork has has been awarded grants from the Brooklyn Arts Council and University of Chicago Division of the Humanities.
