Heather Liljengren is the Supervising Seed Collector/Field Taxonomist for the New York City Parks Department Greenbelt Native Plant Center in Staten Island. Ms. Liljengren actively manages the seed collection and banking at the nursery, which helps to provide local genetic source material for restoration projects throughout New York City. Previously, Heather was the propagation intern at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens and also did an internship at the National Tropical Botanical Gardens on the island of Kauai. She holds a BS from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in Environmental Design.
