Emily is a photographer and filmmaker based in Brooklyn. Recently, she was commissioned by The Earth Institute at Columbia University to direct, shoot, and edit They Came In Softly: Life in the Shadow of a Mine, a short film about communities living next to a Papua New Guinea gold mine. She has worked as an assistant editor on the HBO television series MasterClass as well as feature-length documentaries: Which Way Is The Front Line From Here: The Life and Time of Tim Hetherington and Last Patrol directed by Sebastian Junger, Back On Board by Cheryl Furjanic and A Good Job: Stories of the FDNY by Liz Garbus. Emily is currently collaborating with performance artist, Paula Garcia, on a multi-media project that will open in Sao Paulo, Brazil in Fall 2016.
