Sokyu Mitani

Teaches at Brooklyn Botanic Garden

Sokyu Mitani is a first-degree instructor for the Japanese tea ceremony school Urasenke Konnichian. She teaches at the Urasenke Tea Center in Manhattan and the Nippon Club cultural center. She also has demonstrated the art of the tea ceremony at the New York Philharmonic Young People's concert, Hunter College High School, and the Japan Society. She holds a B.A. from the Tokyo University of Art and Music.
