Brooklyn born Laura Carbone has worked in the field of stained glass since 1989. The majority of her work has been the fabrication and restoration/conservation of stained and leaded glass windows. She has restored pieces by such stained glass icons as John La Farge and Louis Comfort Tiffany. Her work is in countless public buildings, houses of worship, and residences throughout the tri-state area.
The class was great! I came in having Zero experience and I left with my own panel that I’m super happy with :) you’ll learn everything you need to know to get started with stained glass. I’m looking forward to making more creations in the future now. Totally would recommend.

Laura and Deane were great! They were very informative, approachable, amiable and very knowledgeable. One suggestion is that I would have loved a cheat sheet so I could remember all the tools, steps and great tips they shared.

This was a great class. You can come in with no knowledge of how to make stained glass and leave with your own panel piece. Since everyone works at their own pace on different projects, there were never too many people standing around waiting for instruction on the next part. If you were waiting, it was up to you to get the instructor's attention and the instruction you received never felt rushed. Speaking of, Laura and Deanne were excellent teachers. I definitely recommend good shoes since you are standing for most of the 14 hours!
