Ian Snow Carpenter originally got introduced to fabric printing under the apprenticeship of Charles Maravel who ran the screen printing department at Pearl Paint for many years. He has created graphic designs for business and continues to explore use printing as an artistic medium.
This fabric printing class was very enjoyable, I highly recommend learning from Ian at his studio. You get the gratification of printing with your own screen on your own shirts right away which feels empowering, and it’s fun too!
I booked this class and I appreciated the The teacher . He was really friendly with me, showed me plenty details. Thanks to him

Hi, I really enjoyed this class. Ian, the instructor, was friendly, informative and knowledgeable. The studio work space was organized, well lit with a creative vibe. The studio was conveniently located only a block or 2 from the subway. I was able to make a screen and actually use the screen to imprint a tee shirt. I would recommend this course to anyone that wants to learn the fundamentals of screen printing.
This was an excellent opportunity to have a hands-on experience of silk screen printing. The method taught for putting the image on the screen involved a copy machine, a lighting unit and special screen. No messy emulsion fluids. Ian was generous with his time and answered all questions. And I was able to make professional looking tshirts that night.
The class was terrific! Ian was fun, nice and super informative. I’m so glad I took the class; it was a new way of printing that I didn’t know about. I now prefer it over the emulsion/photo light traditional way. Will definitely use my screen and have more made in the future!
