Carly Ries (b. 1987) is an artist, archivist, and independent curator. Their work has been exhibited at Bravin Lee, NY; Likely General, Toronto; ZH Projects, NY; A.I.R. Gallery, NY, among others. Their artist books are in the collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The New York Public Library, and the Joan Flasch Artist Book Collection. In 2015, they received an MFA in Photography from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. They live and work in New York, teaching photography at Parsons School of Design, The New School.
