Ariana Tavares

Ariana Tavares is a Brazilian architect and artist that lives in New York City. Since childhood, she has been inspired by colors and shapes from Brazil’s countryside landscape and natural features, which to this day is strongly present in her art. Later on, architecture greatly influenced and grew her awareness of urban landscape, culture and the cities' diverse forms.

Nowadays, Ariana is driven by different settings of New York City, such as botanical gardens, parks, and urban environments. Since 2015, she has been consistently drawing and painting with ink, color pencil, watercolor, gouache, acrylic and oil paints, and in 2018 started to show her paintings and drawings in art events, such as Raw Artists and Conception Arts. She is deeply engaged in the means of creating artistic processes that imprint on her artwork and display the multiplicity of her interests.
