What you'll learn in this history lesson:

*This class will be hosted virtually via Zoom. Please take a few minutes to download the Zoom desktop/mobile app ahead of time. The meeting link will be sent the day before class.  A recording of the talk with closed captions can be made available after the talk to enrolled students.*

In 1603, one of the momentous events in history occurred when the Scottish King, James VI inherited the throne of England following the death of his cousin Elizabeth. He combined his two nations and called them Great Britain – and all subsequent kings and queens of Britain are his descendants to the present day. The telling of British royal history tends to focus on the English line, and their influence on England. Well here is your chance to hear the story of Scotland’s monarchs

Refund Policy

Note: This provider has a temporary cancellation policy for COVID-19 related cancellations which is as follows:

I'm currently offering credits for any cancellations made seven days or fewer to a class starting. I can't afford to do cash refunds right now, but credits are fine if the spot is canceled any time before the start date (even if less than 72 hours). Spots that are canceled more than seven days before the class starts are eligible for cash refunds.

 ----

Original cancellation policy (non-COVID-19):

If you're looking for a refund or class credit, you need to back out of the class a full week before it starts. (No exceptions!) We know it's draconian, but since we aren't charging an arm and a leg and have to buy all our materials in advance, it's kinda hard to deal with last-minute bailings.

We also can't transfer registrations to a future session of the class. Sorry!

Instead of dropping out if you have a schedule conflict, a better idea is to ask around and see if any of your friends want the spot. We can't give you a refund less than a week out, even if there's a wait list for the class.

Regarding bad weather, we generally only cancel classes if the subway system stops running. If traveling during snowstorms might be an issue for you, please take this into account before registering for a class.
