Ayurveda for Women’s Health and Beauty

This two week course draws from India’s ancient healing and wellness science, Ayurveda, to empower us with a wide range of tools we can use to radically boost our health and energy, but in a way that is practical for the modern woman. These include: simple, comfortable home spa treatments (including for complexion; scalp and hair health; eye, neck and shoulder relaxation; dental hygiene, etc.); personally customized dietary, cooking, and herbal advice (including for losing weight, detoxing, countering inflammation, addressing specific conditions from osteoporosis to diabetes, etc.); yoga postures; mudras; breathing and meditation techniques; the use of tonics for menstrual comfort and to restore sexual vitality; and much more.

Note: One of our classes will include an (optional) vegetarian buffet lunch in a nearby Indian restaurant and a brisk walking tour of Manhattan’s little India near 28th Street and Lexington to explore Ayurvedic supplies, Indian clothing, cosmetics, and fragrances.
