What you'll learn in this glass bead class:

A 3-week course where you'll learn to shape and manipulate glass into beads!

The course will teach you how to make basic forms and details with molten glass to create stunning creations for decoration or wearing. This class will teach you all the basics of working on the torch with soft glass and how to turn your beads into finished products.

What to expect:

Flameworking with soft glass requires a little practice at heat control with the torch to create successful sculptures. After demonstrations, students will have time on the torch to hone their skills.

Eligibility:

No previous experience required.

Pick-up:

The glass needs to cool down overnight, so the students will have to return to UrbanGlass once notified to pick up their work.

School Notes:

Preparing for class

It is recommended that students bring notebooks and water bottles to in person classes. All basic materials and supplies needed for the class will be provided. If students wish to use specific tools or materials not supplied in class they are responsible for obtaining these items themselves.

Studio Attire

For your safety, protective eyewear must be worn at all times in all areas of the UrbanGlass Studio. We will provide appropriate eyewear for your use. Appropriate work clothes are also required. Flammable or synthetic fabrics, sandals and open-toe shoes are not allowed. Long hair must be tied back.

Refund Policy

Enrollment cancellations made outside sixteen (16) days from the first day of class are eligible for a refund less a 5% processing fee. Refunds will not be granted for any cancellations made inside sixteen (16) days from the first day of class, or for withdrawals during class.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
