This bootcamp prep will cover web development fundamentals and an introduction to JavaScript. Designed to help aspiring developers get started by building a solid foundation for continued learning.

Schedule and Course Outline:

DAY 1 - Developer Fundamentals

DAY 2 - JavaScript and Advanced Concepts

You will deploy a site you've created to Github Pages and will learn how software development teams collaborate using git workflow and tools like GitHub.

The rest of the day you will explore the JavaScript language. You will first pseudo-code a simple application and then work through different parts of its JavaScript implementation.

You will use concepts such as variables and functions to make a simple interactive web application. We will also talk about how to incorporate interactive elements into a site you would create for General Assembly's Web Development Immersive admissions assessment.

Question from Natalia K.
Can I bring my iPad instead of a laptop?
Answer from Brenda L. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Hi Natalia! It's recommended that he/she/they bring a laptop just in case. It's more capable of performing at it's fullest capacity; whereas, an iPad may not have all coding capabilities.
