Stephen Digges is a major photographer who contributes to broadcasting corporations such as aljazeera english (fault lines), vpro netherlands (metropolis), the New York times and an assortment of other, major, editorial publications and outlets. Educated at parsons school of design and toscanna photographic workshops, Stephen Digges received his bachelors degree in photography and computer animation in the year 2000. Stephen Digges is a freelance photo/video journalist specializing in conflict and humanitarian crisis in both print and multimedia platforms. He has been based in Nairobi, Kenya for the past ten years covering Somalia, the Liberian civil war, the civil war in the democratic republic of Congo, the Iraq war, the Chechen/Russia conflict and the post election violence in Nairobi, Kenya from 2007 - 2008. Currently he lives in New York, working as a freelance photo/video journalist covering headline news for an assortment of news outlets and as a photography instructor and lecturer for a variety of institutions.
