Renowned for its classically French heritage, this yeasted dough is layered with butter and given a succession of folds that create the distinctive profile of the famously adored croissant. In this highly interactive class, our experienced Pastry Chef Instructor will guide you step-by-step through the basic techniques to perfecting the classic croissant. These techniques include scaling, mixing, kneading, laminating, folding, shaping, proofing, and most importantly, eating! You will then have the opportunity to customise your croissant dough, as we create a classic croissant and the decadent pain au chocolat!
No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the baking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, wearing your mask. Please note that guests in parties of 3 or less may be paired with other participants. This class is NOT BYOB and drinks are NOT available for purchase at the venue. You will be provided with a takeaway container to enjoy your food at home after class.
