Join woodworker and instructor Wayne Ford for this hands-on build of a functional woodworking workbench. Students will learn design principles and joinery techniques as they interpret a drawing. Discussion during the class will cover bench vice selection and installation, additional optional bench features, and custom sizing of the piece.
The project will be constructed of 2" dimensional lumber with mortise and tenon joints and a laminated plywood and masonite top. The measurements for the bench built in the class are 2 feet by 4 feet and the height can be adjusted for the student's comfort.
Materials fee to be paid directly to the school on the first day of class.
This includes wood only. Vices and casters can be purchased by the student seperately using our educator's discount.
