  • Lots of positive energy from everyone. The staff is really great.
  • This course was so much fun, my daughter loved it. They made so many things and had a finale fashion show wearing all of their gear. Highly recommended.
  • hi my names emily and my child went to class with francesco and patricia. she loved it! travelling around the city after a morning of instruction is a wonderful format. she will take the class again!
  • Amazing!! The kids loved it!! We will be back!
  • This was an awesome class, great for understanding the software and experimenting with design, and it's not too difficult to follow even though I'm a beginner.
  • I loved taking this class! It was the perfect amount of fun and challenge and helped me dive deeper into my interest in graphic design. The instructor was patient, kind, and supportive. I appreciated the help and feedback she gave to take my designing to the next level. I had so much fun and learned a lot. 10/10 would recommend :)
  • Amazing instructor, energetic and knowledgeable. The lectures were always interesting and the instructor made it understandable for everyone.
  • I learnt a lot and where I knew nothing before, I can now fluently use the Adobe tools.
  • The instructor provided more information than what was listed in the textbook and created a friendly atmosphere that made us feel at ease to ask questions.
  • I find it really convenient that there is an ebook because if you miss something or want something to look back on, you can always refer to the lesson plan. I also like how the class content relates it back to purpose: why does this matter? How can you apply this to everyday life? How can you use this concept in other programs?
  • Great class! The content was well organized and the instructor was excellent. He was engaging, knew the material very well and was able to adjust to the various levels of ability of the students! Would definitely recommend!
  • Made great connections and had a great experience, all while being extremely well-informed on the subject that my instructor taught.
  • The class gives a firm understanding of the basics of Excel while giving the student real-world application in finance.
  • The class was more advanced than I expected, and I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of information I learned. The instructors were very knowledgeable and explained concepts well.
  • The teachers did an excellent job teaching Excel and gave the students ways to handle realistic scenarios and data samples to make what we learned extremely practical.
  • The content was great and I feel I learned a lot about Java. My instructor was very easy to follow and was extremely helpful when needed.
  • After taking this course, I feel extremely confident in my programming skills and I feel like I gained a genuine understanding of how coding works and how it is essential to all areas within tech. I'm excited to use these skills at school and hopefully at an internship within a year's time.
  • It was a nice fast pace that kept me mentally challenged with a teacher who explained everything super well. He made complex stuff feel approachable.
  • This class was really challenging but it was also fun, and I feel like I know how to use Java way better now.
  • This is a great class! It's a great way to prepare for a world of programming in the future.
  • This bootcamp really helped me improve my computer programming skills from a novice to an intermediate.
  • This class made me a faster and more efficient coder. The curriculum is well designed and the teachers really care about your success. I would recommend NextGen to anyone looking to gain this integral skill.
  • I really enjoyed the goal-oriented nature of the course. Instead of only learning about the theory behind computing, we got a chance to apply what was being taught by writing code and putting everything together to build something practical. Also, we covered a wide range of topics aside from just programming like a little bit of computer hardware, files & file formats, and HTML. After taking this class, I feel like there are so many more possibilities and applications of computer science than I originally thought. Overall, I was really impressed with how well-designed the course was.
  • Great introduction to Python/coding/data science. This was my first time coding and I learned a lot. If you want to learn a ton and have fun while doing it, this is the place for you!
  • Great course, you learn a lot in a short time. The instructor was good at explaining how different things in Python work and answered questions well.
  • As someone completely new to the world of computer science, this course has laid out an easy-to-follow path for me while also allowing me to learn so much in just 15 days.
  • We covered something new every day, which made me feel that I was exploring a lot about Python.
  • It's a great class for coding beginners who want to learn the basics of Python.
  • It is a fast-paced program where the teachers do a great job of making sure everybody is keeping up. The projects and assignments were challenging and interesting as well. The only con for me was the age gap between students but it wasn't a big problem.
  • The course was a great experience. I learned more then I ever have in this program. The teachers were extremely nice and always willing to help out! The course materials were clearly well-prepared and the speed of the course was perfect!
  • Very thorough material and hands-on experience. Everyone cares about you and you can ask as many questions as you like. Better than a regular class.
  • This class really helped to improve my programming skills and knowledge! It covers a good span of topics ranging from vanilla Python programming to machine learning.
  • The instructor was very helpful and supportive during these last few weeks. He always had every answer to my questions and seemed very passionate about his job. This made it easier and way more fun to learn web design.
  • I learned a lot of Java in only 9 days. The instructor was a high school teacher and he's been teaching coding for almost 20 years. He was very patient with everyone and made sure everyone understood the content. We were given breaks and a nice long lunchtime. There were a lot of topics covered but it wasn't overwhelming.
  • We covered much of the content that I was hoping to cover and all was easily understood. The instructor was very nice and taught the information in a way that was easy to follow and understand.
  • My son attended the NextGen Camp during the summer of 2019 for 2 sessions in NYC. There are way too many positive things I can say about the staff and curriculum. Everything deserves 5 stars. Zach, the owner of the program was tremendously supportive, informative and knowledgeable about the computer science world. He advised us on what courses to take and even spent the time interviewing my son to see which program would be the best fit. He was just so patient and helpful. My son has been coding for years, but there were many gaps, we learned. The two programs he did helped him realize his holes, filled them and propelled him to learn more deeply about CS and stay passionate. What more can a camp do! If you are looking for a serious, real-deal coding camp with strong, friendly instructors who can communicate and teach - NextGen is the best summer computer science camp in the NYC area.
  • The course was a great experience! I learned more than I ever have in this program. The teachers were extremely nice and always willing to help out! The course materials were clearly well-prepared and the speed of the course was perfect!
  • We covered much of the content that I was hoping to cover and all was easily understood. The instructor was very nice and taught the information in a way that was easy to follow and understand
  • The instructor, Lara Kazan, has a background in fashion design and does an amazing job of teaching the kids how to use an actual sewing machine (there is some hand sewing, but my daughter made 5 or so pieces in a week on the sewing machine) as well as how to make a variety of different things out of different materials. I love that a lot of upcycling and custom pattern making was taking place and each piece was unique and well-considered and not a cookie-cutter project. My daughter still uses a fanny pack she made here daily. At pick up time all of the kids seemed to be having too much fun to want to leave and I felt like I had stepped into a real fashion studio with people buzzing around, draping fabric on each other and working the machines. The kids really seemed to be into it! We look forward to spending more time here this summer.
  • Course was run well, super fun, food is great. Would definitely do it again!
  • My daughter has some experience with sewing from various classes but the projects were always too simple or not practical. Lara's Make it class was the perfect balance between learning how to actually sew and making something that my daughter could actually wear and be proud of (jean purse...amazing). Lara's relaxed style, yet patient teaching directive, made the three hours fly by. She allows the kids to create and enjoy the process but is also realistic and knows they want to walk away with a finished product. Not only does my daughter wear the purse she made but has offered to sew torn pillow cases, and other things to keep up her sewing skills. It was a delight taking this class with Lara and I would highly recommend her!
  • I've had my girls attend two of Make It Studio's workshops and they had a blast! They made these adorable Sock bunnies during the Easter PEEP making workshop, and fantastic earrings out of pom poms, sequins, and beads at the last one we went to. It was great to see them being creative and making substantial things. Lara, the owner/instructor is so great with the kids and her background as a designer in the fashion industry definitely shows through.
  • A little less of a survey of different types of food than I thought, but it was a winner.
  • Loved our teacher and really happy with the work we brought home.
  • My daughter loved going every day.
  • My daughter was so excited to go. She went 3 days in a row and sewed something different each day. she loved the draping exercises and the team work too. Great class!
  • I loved using the sewing machine as well as dressing up the mannequins. The teachers were nice too!
  • This is a little gem of a studio! My daughter has done a sewing class, a styling class, an evening gown illustration class and a one-day camp and has loved them all. From day one she was sewing and designing and she shows off her portfolio very proudly. It's unlike any other kid's classes I've found in the City. I highly recommend it for little fashion designers.
  • The Fashion Class is wonderful. My daughter absolutely loves their classes, has made a lot of friends and learned great skills there. The place and people are lovely. Definitely signing up for next offering. Highly recommend.
  • Amazing experience at Fashion Class day camp. Looking forward to coming back. My daughter (10yo) spent the day and in 8 hrs she was involved in sewing using a sewing machine, fashion illustration, fashion set up/modeling and craft. Just amazing!
