Fear-Free Beginners Drawing
As someone who was anxious about taking a drawing class, I’m happy to say that quickly disappeared thanks to the inviting, supportive, and nonjudgmental atmosphere from day one! Thanks to Clem and then Tol (my apologies if I spelled her name wrong), and even Tyler who was both teacher and model for a day who all continued the wonderful atmosphere that was conducive to my style of learning. I even liked the jazz music in the background while we practiced! I’ve definitely improved my drawing skills and will continue practicing on my own. For any future classes, I’ll definitely consider The Art Studio NY! Thank you very much! -

This was a fun class in a warm and welcoming environment to artists at all levels. I do wish it was maybe about an hour longer, as it went by so fast and our instructor Kate had a lot to cover. Regardless, she was great! I only wish it were longer because I was getting really into it. I will definitely be back! -

Intermediate Watercolor Painting
It was fine. I don’t think it was really at an intermediate level, and the structure felt a bit too loose for me, and not quite enough time allocated for working on the final piece. I would prefer a predefined curriculum, a quick survey of other artists, a warm up and a main piece. But the schedule is convenient and the people are nice -

I really enjoyed this acrylic painting class with Claire! Claire did such a great job at providing clear and helpful instructions. I appreciated the feedback and encouragement that was given to each member. I also appreciated Claire's assistance Luke who provided very helpful pointers on my art work. Both of them are great teachers and can tell how much they care about their work. Highly recommend! -
