Learn the graphic design theory and the essential Adobe applications, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. In this summer course in NYC, high school students work on real-world design projects.
The first section of the camp covers Adobe Photoshop. Students explore topics such as retouching photos, combining images, preparing graphics for the web, and more.
The next section covers InDesign comprehensively and includes creating page layouts with text, graphics, and multiple pages. Our young designers learn to style text, import photos + graphics, define/use colors, add multiple pages, and thread text frames (just to name a few skills.)
Lastly, students begin their mastery of Illustrator and create numerous graphics throughout the course. Expert instructors guide students through the use of standard drawing tools, the Pen tool, Type, Compound Paths, Effects, Layers, Masks, Patterns, Blends, and Colors.
Throughout this training, students work on a wide variety of projects to build a dynamic portfolio of work that any professional would be proud to claim as their own!
