What you'll learn in this pie class:

In this class students will learn how to make one of America’s staple desserts, Pie, from scratch.

At the end of the class, you will have your pie to take home.

Tools and Skills Covered: 

Baking skills covered in this class include the secret to making the perfect pie dough, creating a pie filling, and assembling a pie.

Each student will be provided with all of the tools and materials that they will need to create their own 9″ pie.

Pie flavor may vary depending on class date, select a specific date to see what pie we will be baking in that particular class.

Class Policies

  • Classes will begin on time, so please be sure to allow enough time to arrive and prepare prior to the start of the class. The studio will be open to students 15 minutes prior to beginning of class to allow for set up. Classes occasionally run over time, please let the instructor know if you need to leave early or immediately at the end of class so they can plan for it.
  • We do not provide make-up classes.
  • Feel free to take pictures and post to social media. We do not allow video or voice recording. Please also refrain from sharing class materials or step-by-step pictures.
  • Cell phones should be silenced while in class. Please excuse yourself to the store area if you need to make or take a call.
  • All tools and equipment will be supplied for use during each class, unless otherwise noted in the class outline.
  • This is a commercial facility. We kindly ask that you follow our Health and Safety Certification standards required by law. Please wear closed toed shoes; flip-flops and other open sandals are not permitted. If you have long hair please keep it tied up for the duration of the class.
  • All classes are taught in English, unless otherwise specified.
  • Employees of the NY Cake Academy may take photographs of you; your photograph may be used for future class promotion or on our social media. Please let us know if you would prefer not to be photographed.

Refund Policy

NY Cake Academy classes are not eligible for refunds, however they are transferrable. Students reserve the right to reschedule their class to an alternative date or time up until 7 days prior to the class date.


You may choose to give your place in class to another student. Please let us know in advance so we can have our paperwork in order. Class time may not be split up though. The same student will be enrolled in all days of a multi-day class.
