Great class. Jake was amazing. Very helpful and patient. I made tremendous improvement and I'm looking forward to going back for more classes. Would highly recommend.
It was a wonderful experience, the setting was perfect, all the birds, ducks squirrels came out to play for us, posing and preening, they realized they were being stroked, Amanda is a sweet talented artist, we had a lot of fun, my colleagues were so nice, I was the grandmother in the group, at the end I was on a par with Monet! ahem!!!! Sincerely, Marcella Zimmer
Really enjoyed the class. Good intro to drawing and inspiring place to learn from the Masters in an amazing museum. Due to class size, when everyone attends class, you get little one on one time but some classes I got to spend a lot of time with the instructor who was very personable and knowledgeable. Definitely worth doing for overall experience.
It was a lot of fun, but not as much instruction as I thought there would be. It was a really relaxing night though and I found my love for painting again!
Good class - liked going to the Met, but not too much instruction. I would call it more of a drawing session more than a beginners drawing class.
I loved this class! The two hours went by too fast! The instructor was very helpful and provided tips to each student. The Met is a beautiful and inspirational museum to draw.
Loved it! Get your creativity on :)
Andy was such a great spirit! He helped me not just with technique but to express myself. Great class!
I enjoyed my class and the instructor was very friendly (although she spoke very quietly when we were all in the large group). Unfortunately our class started about a half hour after it was supposed to, but the instructor let the class go over to compensate.
Very disappointing. It was touted as a beginner/ or rusty artist coming back to draw. Instead, it was 'do your own thing' and the 'instructor' came around occasionally and made some suggestions and comments. There wasn't any 'teaching' or 'how to' - unless you count a few minutes of quick sketching and rapidly going over making shapes to get started. While I was inspired by sitting in the impressionist section of the museum (my favorite section), drawing one of those paintings seemed unbearably difficult - especially without more instruction and explanation. Had I not just completed an art class, I would have had NO CLUE as to how to get started.
