The class was not what I expected but was fun. Roy was unobtrusive but very helpful in his feedback and suggestions for improving the sketches I was attempting. Everyone was very nice, and we'll likely take the class again another time.

Painting from Life: Alla Prime was my first live painting class in over 4 years, so I was a little intimidated to start and wasn't sure if I would receive the level of guidance I probably needed from being a little rusty. Despite their being 6 other members in the class, the teacher sat with me throughout the beginning and walked me through color theory, mixing instructions, and even layering techniques. It was super personable and fun, the other class members were also happy to provide some advice and everyone was really nice! Would definitely take it again.

The teacher, RIck, was incredibly helpful and patient. It was my first time painting in a while and he sat with me to walk me through even the basics of mixing colors and painting to scale. It was a great class!

Such a great class. Not only was the instructor very attentive and helpful, the whole class was very welcoming. So much fun and would 100% recommend for yourself or as a gift to a fellow art-lover. Enjoy!

Great class but better suited for students who have done some drawing. It maybe a bit overwhelming for the absolute beginner.

Great instructor and environment!

I am a serious student of drawing and don't like unnecessary distraction - like music played at any sound level. I mentioned this when I entered the studio but the guy did not turn off his music. Teacher did not step in. The teacher was good - not intrusive - and a perfect number of students (3) and a perfect model. I would not return.

This is not a beginning class, by not saying this puts people in a awkward situation.

I learnt a lot from the instructors and got to dive straight into life drawing. However, I would say this is not a class for complete beginners, so the title is misleading and I’d love to see a real fundamentals class which is more guided and structured.

A great class, I’m a beginner and the instructor was able to help me tremendously!
