Description

What you'll learn in this ux design class:

User experience design is often misunderstood as simply interface design, but is actually comprised of many moving parts beyond the visual aspect–a good user experience also takes into account how the user feels.

Whether you are exploring a new career or are looking to better understand the role of UX designers on your team, this User Experience course is the perfect primer to learn more about the user experience design process. This UX class will blend lecture, discussion, industry examples, and classroom activities. You'll leave the class with a broad understanding of how UX designers work with other team members, fundamentals of the industry, and how designers move from research insights to design concepts.

Question from Anonymous
Hi there. I'm a cross-media designer and have recently moved more towards the role of a digital designer. For the past 3 months I've been working in a sketch for wireframes and full-blown websites, do click-through prototypes and I know the basics of sitemaps and flow charts. Will this course still be beneficial or perhaps should I invest elsewhere?
Answer from Georgia C. CourseHorse Staff
Hi there! This course is designed to be a general overview of the entire UX process, starting from the research process through to the design and prototyping stages. While some of the class may be a review for you, it sounds like you know more of the design process, and could still benefit from understanding what goes into making UX decisions. Hope this helps!
