Pitch Deck (One-on-One)

In this 2-part class you will learn how to make a great pitch that deck gets potential investors excited about your idea and engages them in a conversation about your business, hopefully leading to an investment. 

For this class, you will have a short phone call with your teacher, prior to taking the class. The teacher uses information from this call to design a lesson plan that fits your particular needs. 

Note: You will choose the day and time for your second class, at the end of the first class, with your teacher. You will want to put several days between your first and second class, so that you have enough time to continue working on what you built in class one.

Define Your Goals with your teacher

Class One:
"Find the story. Tell the story." In the first class, you and your teacher will refine your concept into a concise and engaging story. This story is the backbone of your deck, which you will then use to outline the pages of your presentation. The order will be similar to this:

Slide 05: Why the Timing is Perfect
Slide 06: Audience / Addressable Market
Slide 07: Competition
Slide 08: Revenue Model / Business Model

Slide 10: Traction and Roadmap
Slide 11: Investment Ask

Class Two:
"Prove the story." In class two, your teacher will help you with the design portion of the deck. This includes deciding on format, layout, designing assets, and collecting brand correct images. You will also receive coaching on your verbal pitch and presentation.

Preferred: Your laptop, but if you don't have one, please let us know prior to class.
Requirement: A short phone call with your teacher, prior to taking class.
Requirement: A serious business idea or project in mind.

Our regular schedules are:

• Monday to Friday - 7am to 10am
• Monday to Friday - 7pm to 10pm
• Saturday and Sunday - 11am to 2pm 
• Saturday and Sunday - 3pm to 6pm
