Class was great. Facilities not so much. I felt we were in a closet that was not sufficiently air conditioned.

Great value for money, only thing I felt was missing was specific course materials or written structure. Great, passionate teacher.

The teacher was great, but I'm not sure what I will remember because there were no printed or electronic materials to reference. It would have been very helpful to have a document that listed exactly what we were covering in class that we could use to take notes with. The description of the class said Materials: We have everything ready for you including fast computers, manuals, pens, and shortcut sheets. And an email said there would be a manual to follow along with, but there were no shortcut sheets or anything to follow along with. The teacher mentioned that we can retake the class for free, but I would much rather have materials that explained what we learned than to repeat a class I already took. I'm sure the large electronic manual will be helpful, but not if I can't remember the name of the tool or know what to look up. Again, Eugenio was a great teacher, but I wish there was more formal prep for the class.

Attended: How to Create Dynamic Website/Blog w/ WordPress (PC)

The course was well presented and very informative. There was a manual that the instructor went over and each student replicated the steps in the manual on their computer to recreate the blog page from the manual on WordPress through Hostgator. The manual is very detailed and can be used after the course is over once you are at home. The instructor moved quickly through the material and covered the whole manual. The instructor continually asked for questions. However, we did not have time to work specifically on our own WordPress site, only on the one from the manual. While I did feel confident when I left the class, I discovered when I returned home and found that the Bluehost and Hostgator version of WordPress do not look the same. Thus my initial feeling of competence was lost. It would have been helpful to have at least an hour to work on our own site to be able to apply what we learned to our own blog and to get targeted support on our own work.

Attended: Advanced PowerPoint

Even though I have been using PPT for 10+ years, I should have taken the Intro level course first. All four students seemed top be in the same boat. Instructor was very good, he did move a bit fast at times but always asked if there were any questions - sometimes you don't want to hold up the entire class with a question. It was a small class so there was an opportunity to ask was was important to each of us, But the agenda was strictly adhered to. For example,. I don't believe any of us needed to learn about inserting audio files or timed slideshows for kiosk use.
