About Bronx Community College:

Since 1959, Bronx Community College of the City University of New York has been building on its vision to “graduate students who are prepared to live within, profit from, and contribute to a 21st century global environment marked by diversity, change, and expanded opportunities for learning and growth.” Located on a 43-acre, tree-lined campus in the University Heights section of the Bronx, BCC offers more than 30 academic programs that prepare students for careers and to continue their education at four-year colleges.

BCC provides students with enhanced learning opportunities through study abroad programs, presents an increasing emphasis on the STEM fields—Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math, and opens doors to engage in breakthrough research at the Center for Sustainable Energy. The College offers evening and weekend classes for adults who work full-time, and BCC provides a high quality, low cost, on-campus Early Childhood Center for students juggling classroom demands with those of parenting.

Students also benefit from the school’s newest architectural gem, the North Hall and Library, a blend of classic design with state-of-the art classrooms, group study rooms, and up-to-date information technology. BCC offers all this and more on its beautiful campus, America’s first community college campus designated a National Historic Landmark.

Notes:

This class was created by the division of Workforce Development and Continuing Education.

Most of the courses offered by our department are certificate based. A student will receive a certificate upon successful completion, with the exception of TASC/GED courses.

Has one of the greatest"œ campus in CUNY. Place is quite safe. The students are pretty diverse, which is great. You'll find people of different cultures in this college, most of them are new to US.

Many people underestimate Bronx Community College. The staff as well as the students are very supportive. It is wonderful to be a part of an organization where the majority of the staff represents the community. I have had a few professors who were once students here. Bronx Community is truly making a difference.

Bronx C.C. is a great campus. I just graduated yesterday at the 57th Commencement and it was a great feeling to walk out as a college graduate. I went back at the start of the Fall Semester of '15 as a part-time student, where I apply myself to the the schedule I set up myself. The courses were simple, I followed the syllabi to the "T". It was worth it and the Faculty & Staff are nice.

This school is one of the best, if not the best community college in the city. If you challenge yourself they challenge you. You need to know what you want and willing to get it in the time frame you set. No one is handing you anything that you haven't earned. Excellent professors they even send and reply to email at 2 AM. It took awhile but eventually you get the hang of the various offices financial aid, registrar, bursar's admissions to name a few to help you accomplish your goal but it can be done. You may come across someone having a bad day but that doesn't represent the majority. Great place to be educated.

The Professor is very knowledgeable and patient. He will not move on until we understand the concept. He will show us different ways to achieve an answer.
