  • La Cucina Romana: A Roman Dinner and Seminar

Reviewed by Corey W. on 3/19/2023
I thought it was very nice and detailed when it came to explaining the climates. The various climates has an effect on how the food is grown there. Hearing that different regions grew there own pasta was interesting. Even more so the process being the same for 1000 years if I heard correctly was also cool. I felt real good eating the food which showed it was fresh ingredients. Alot better than the ingredients you get from a local super market.

This class was awesome! The chef took his time in explaining the ingredients he put into each delicious three course meal. He laughed & joked with everyone in this cooking class. Everything was well organized. All of us present also received a little history on Italy. The staff was great also. The chef didn't rush anybody out the door after we finish eat that delicious meal. This class was well worth my money & time. Amazing!

  • For the Love of Chianti:Valentine’s Wine & Food Tasting

Reviewed by Natasha S. on 2/21/2020
I feel as if we were duped. The description of the event didnt fit what was actually done. I was unable to eat any of the horderves due to the pork restriction in my diet. The lines for the foods and the wine were too long so I was only able to get 1 wine tasting and my boyfriend was able to grab 1 skewer of shrimp, which was no good in my opinion. My boyfriend spent so much money on this night for me to only be disappointed in the event. We had to leave due to the amount of people squeezed into the small circle and having wine spilled on me.
  • Panzerotti & Neapolitan Calzone

    Anonymous review on 12/3/2019
Very basic class. In my opinion and many others from the class we thought it was all dough and no where near enough filling. Wasn’t happy with food. As far as staff and teachers they were great!! Appetizers, free flowing wine and overall friendliness was 100%.

The food and cooking demonstration were, as always, superb. Then we got a very informative lesson about truffles while we were eating the truffles! I learned a lot and had a wonderful meal!

It was fascinating to learn about a region of Italy I wasn’t very familiar with, and the ambassadors were wonderful, warm, friendly and knowledgeable. I look forward to another class similar to this, I love learning about different regions of such a beautiful country. And the food, of course, was amazing as always.
  • Saints, Symbols and Spaghetti: Celebrate the Feast Day

Rocky Ruggiero gave us a wonderful lesson on how the saints are depicted in Italian artwork, it was fascinating and his sense of humor and energetic delivery really made the presentation out of this world. And of course, the food was amazing as always!
  • A Three-Course Meal

Reviewed by Scott S. on 10/30/2019
Ended too soon and the tastings were extremely limited. Ricotta toast, a small portion of pasta, and chocolate moosse was ridiculous for the cost. Plus the cookbook millennial didn’t even make anything. Her Italian colleague was great and the wine expert were very knowledgeable but she was a disappointment.
  • Lots of Mozz(arella)

Reviewed by Kimberly S. on 10/16/2019
This was a lot of fun! We got to taste the fresh warm mozzarella right after the cheesemonger made it, then we all each got to make a little fresh mozzarella cheese ball if we wanted to! When the dinner/class was over, we each got our own curd to take home to make our own mozzarella. Would love to do this again!

  • A 4-Course Chef’s Table Dinner with Broglia’s Winemaker

    Anonymous review on 9/29/2018
The chef, and the Broglia wine reps were all very informative and personable. The food was very good, although I would have liked to see more of a cooking demonstration. The folks we met were very interesting - we exchanged contact info. It was a lovely evening and I learned about an Italian wine region. All in all, a very good night and if felt worth the expense.
  • Pastas of the North: A Dinner & Hands-On Workshop

Reviewed by Rosa O. on 8/6/2018
We have taken many cooking classes and this certainly ranks among the best. The entire staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, the balance of observation to hands-on activity to eating was ideal, and the food was delicious, with generous amounts of self-prepared dishes to take home. My only suggestion for improvement would be to have people sitting at a communal table while eating rather than individual small tables - in my experience at other cooking schools, this makes for enjoyable interaction between participants.
