It was an absolute pleasure and Ken our instructor was not only knowledgeable, but extremely flexible, tailoring it to our desires, while making sure we had the basics down. I absolutely recommend this class and my only regret was that it was way too short! -

BEWARE - the owners who take your money are very difficult to deal with. It takes a lot of emails back and forth to get signed-up. The registration process is cumbersome and the rules of the class are not clear. They seem to make up the rules of the class regarding refunds, class start dates, make-up classes, equipment needed, etc, as they go along, The owners took 3 weeks to issue me a refund of close to $1000 which I requested. This was after getting double COVID and couldn't possibly attend ahead of the months I had pre-paid for. They were also rude to me after I said I would return in a few months after I recovered - even after I had taken almost a year of classes from them. I opted to sign-up for classes elsewhere because life is too short, and I didn't deserve the owners' bad treatment towards me. Everything was such a hassle and not clearly stated. The whole experience was not worth it. The instructor Collette is the best. She wrote me a nice note telling me that she and my classmates had missed me. -

David with his 40 + years of experience in jewelry making is a great mentor and teacher, who inspired me to become a jewelry designer from the moment I met him almost 10 years ago. He masters all kind of goldsmith technics and alloys. He also understands gemstones and adapts to the complexity and style you are working on. -

I have been taking classes with David for a number of years now and he is absolutely incredible. He taught me everything I know about jewelry making, which has helped my business go to the next level. He’s incredibly talented and is so inspiring. David taught me everything I needed to know about technique and did so with patience and kindness. I am so happy that I discovered his classes and would highly recommend them to anyone. I love Benlolo Studio jewelry class!! I have been taking weekly evening class since May and this is one of the BEST presents I have given myself. My instructor is super nice, kind, specific, and encouraging. I have made things I'd never dreamt I could make. I have ideas and images of jewelry I would like to wear but no one is making them in the market, so I get to make them myself. Studio is immaculate with all kinds of tools we need. Everything is super well-maintained and they have great support system. Totally love taking their courses! -

Class at Benlolo has been phenomenal. I look forward to it so much every week. The studio itself feels timeless and so special. My instructor, Colette, is extremely knowledgeable and encouraging. There is a perfect balance of “me time,” where everyone is focused and working on their projects, and class time, where we learn new things from Colette. I will probably end up signing up for more classes when my time is up! -

This is a wonderful place to learn how to make jewelry! I booked a deal package and quickly fell in love with the process and the studio's atmosphere. It's fun and laid back, and Collette is a fantastic teacher who really takes time to share her craft and help students develop their creativity. -

It’s been over 1.5 year of taking classes at the studio & it’s the best thing I did for myself. Although I worked in the diamond wholesale business & have a gemologist certification the process of “ jewelry making” was completely new to me. Not only do I have a renewed appreciation for jewelers , their creativity , passion & their honed skill as true artisan. The class size is small & the set -up allows for full range of work station from wax carving to setting, soldering & polishing . My teacher Collette is a patient , compassionate teacher and a very accomplished jeweler ! It’s a friendly environment where people from all walk of life gather to learn what we’ve been curious or passionate about … so it’s uplifting & interesting . There’s no shortage of creativity in this studio! My only regret is that I didn’t start this much earlier . Work, family responsibilities all took precedence but now I’m at a happy place when i get to come to class ! -

David and Tomomi are excellent instructors and do a wonderful job of helping students achieve their creative goals. The advanced class is structured in a way where you can get as much or as little help as you need. With decades of instructor experience to draw on, the possibilities are truly endless, from wax carving to complex silver and gold creations. I can’t recommend them enough. -

Amazing introduction to real jewelry making. Collette is very knowledgeable, helpful, friendly. I was able to learn a lot of different techniques for the piece that I designed and created as well as from the pieces my classmates were working on. Great if you’re serious about jewelry making or just as trying out something new. -

The ambiance is really welcoming to learn. Collette, the artist instructor it's very serious with her responsibility. She takes the time to teach you the techniques like you are the only participant. She kindly answers & repeats demonstrations when needed. The Studio has everything you need to make your creations. You would not regret this course. Although, I would have preferred handouts for each lesson. -

David and Tomomi are fantastic teachers. They are patient, passionate, and beyond knowledgable. I particularly love how this class is what you make of it -- no one is making the same thing and nothing is for 'exercise.' David and Tomomi know how to make everything (or can figure it out!) and therefore, help you bring your ideas to life. Beyond this, I was in a rush to finish some pieces for my family for the holidays and David personally helped me finish them so I could get them done in time. I will definitely be back as soon as I can! Highly recommend to anyone interested in this craft.
