A New York City based Casting Director, Scott believes that casting is key to the success of a project, and that having the ability to successfully network and seek out the ‘right’ actor for each role is essential in the production’s development process.
Scott has been mentored by, as well as worked alongside Emmy Winning Casting Director (Homeland), Judy Henderson.
Film credits include: Stephen Sondheim’s movie musical adaptation of Merrily We Roll Along (starring Ben Platt, Beanie Feldstein, Paul Mescal, and directed by Richard Linklater), Warriors of Stone, and Delikatessen.
Select Off-Broadway (The New Group): Evanston Salt Costs Climbing, The Seagull/Woodstock NY (starring Parker Posey), Sabbath’s Theater (starring John Turturro, and directed by Jo Bonney), The Seven Year Disappear (starring Cynthia Nixon and Taylor Trensch) and All of Me (starring Kyra Sedgwick).
In January of 2024, Scott opened his own casting company (Charles Casting Company), and has cast the upcoming feature film Hello Beautiful (starring Tricia Helfer, Tarek Bishara, and Susan Shalhoub Larkin). He is currently working on a few more independent feature films, one of them titled, Café Montevideo.
This intensive will start with an informational talk followed by a Q/A. Scott will cover auditioning for feature films and what you need to think about when approaching scripts and crafting your character.
He'll select sides for you which will be emailed in advance. Each actor will get to work on-camera in a group format with Scott and receive adjustments and feedback on choices and preparedness.

- Assignments will be emailed at least 24 hours in advance.
Please follow the procedures listed below:- The room will be open 30 minutes before the event is scheduled to start. Please arrive at least 10 MINUTES before your event begins as your host will give important information about the event at this time.
- You will be emailed your assigned studio the morning of your event.
School Notes: Class end time will vary depending on the number of actors and the scenes that are assigned. Registrants are advised to budget extra time, as class time may run over.
