Class Description

Description

Enroll in this hands-on on-camera acting class emphasizing film and television performance. All sessions are recorded so you can review your work on a monitor following each class. To ensure everyone receives dedicated camera time, class size is kept small. Any specific performance areas you wish to develop will receive personal attention from the instructor.

Training covers eyeline placement, voice projection, emotional authenticity, and physical expression. Your instructor emphasizes genuine, vulnerable performances and offers valuable professional techniques, particularly for close-up work. You'll practice through monologues, improvisations, commercials, and scene work sourced primarily from film.

The teaching method centers on flexible "acting technique" fundamentals. All work focuses on maximizing your effectiveness and presence on screen. Your final performance will be screened in a theater for industry professionals, including casting directors, agents, and managers.

Note: Orientation runs from 6:15 pm, with class starting promptly at 7:00 pm. Please arrive on time.

This course is also available in 3-session packages. Click here to view and book those options.

I wish I had more in person, one on one training. I'd also think it would be great if there was a short lesson from the teacher at the beginning going through the basics again and doing a run through on what to remember when on camera. Overall, it's a wonderful class.
