New York International Screenplay Awards

The New York International Screenplay Awards is a global screenplay competition for screenwriters who aspire to connect with influencers in the American entertainment industry.

NYISA winners are connects to the US film industry members via InkTip Magazine and Script Mailer, get access to free screenwriting software by Final Draft and have the opportunity to be registered for free at CreatersVault. Free screenwriting courses from Script Reader Pro, page-by-page in-depth screenplay analysis, and an e-book, “Common Screenwriting Mistakes.” via UpLift Script, free pitches to the production companies they choose, by the VPF – Virtual Pitch Fest… And much more!

The prizes not only for the winners! Finalists and Semi-Finalists will have, too!

Also, Everyone Who Enters, will have the opportunity to get a free feedback for their loglines, via the Uplift Script!

The Call for Entries for the 2023 New York International Screenplay Awards is currently open and accepting submissions via Filmfreeway!

NYISA’s valued jury members are not just the readers! They are industry professionals such as Producers, Script Doctors, Directors, Actors, and Screenwriters.

Winners, Official Finalists and the Semi-Finalists, Quarter-Finalists of the 2023 New York International Screenplay Awards will be announced officially on April 27th, 2023. All in once!

The award ceremony will be at the DROM Venue, on May 10th, 2023 (The date might change, TBA)!

NYISA has been founded by Emine Dursun in 2015. Emine Dursun is a Sundance-Alumna and New York-based Screenwriter, Script Doctor, and Creative Writing Teacher. She is a jury member of lots of Film Festivals and Screenplay competitions such as The Writers Lab which is supported by Meryl Streep, Oprah Winfrey, and Nicole Kidman and is produced by New York Women in Film & Television.

She is leading workshops named “ How To Write An Award Winning Screenplay”, “Character Creation”, “Building A Strong Structure”, “Efficient Moving Dialogue Writing”, and “Creative Writing”.

NYISA offers the workshops “How to write An Award-winning Screenplay” and “Advanced Screenwriting Development Programs.”
