It was great – Kyle was a fantastic instructor: he made the instrument approachable, adapted the course to the students' aptitudes, and inspired us to learn and improve in a very friendly manner. I'd highly recommend it!

  • Clawhammer Banjo Workshop Online with Bruce Molsky

    Dani S. • June 8, 2020
Bruce was great. He kept the class going at a smooth pace while frequently checking in to make sure everyone understood what we were doing and answer everyone’s questions. I learned a lot while having a great time. I’m looking forward to Bruce’s next class!
  • Ukulele for the Confident Beginner

    Jessica L. • November 14, 2019
The course was small and intimate and the teacher was very patient. Jalopy is a wonderful neighborhood music school that is truly unique. I'd love to explore music of a different genre, but I think that comes later :)
  • Vocal Harmony Workshop

    Anonymous • February 4, 2018
All in all a really helpful, fun class. The instructors broke down harmony in such a way that it was easier to grasp. My one criticism was that the class was overbooked and the room got extremely cramped.
  • Vocal Harmony Workshop

Great community, great instructors. Song choices and style wasn't what I'm used to singing but still great practice and learnings. Everyone was very welcoming and supportive. It was a cramped space and seemed to be overbooked, so maybe limiting the class size would be helpful!
  • Beatles Harmony

    Paul L. • December 22, 2016
Loved learning some of the Beatles early songs and Ernie was a great teacher. Nice and easy and I learned a bunch!
  • Beginning Banjo

  • Old-Time, Early Country Harmony

    Anonymous • December 21, 2015
I really enjoy the class. It's fun and challenging.
  • Vocal Harmony Basics

    Anonymous • November 16, 2015
I really, really loved Vocal Harmony Basics. As someone who has been picking up on harmonies as I listen to radio and subconsciously training my ear, I wanted to attend the class to delve into harmonies further. The class is for beginners, which I think suited me -- it really confirmed a lot of the things I had discovered on my own but had no one to ask about. The instructors were great -- knowledgeable, encouraging, and open to questions. I would definitely return to another class session!
  • Ukulele for the Confident Beginner

Teacher was not awesome and I didn't feel like the class was challenging or that the teacher cared about us learning. We just did the same thing over and over again.
